Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for TDLNoot.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TDLNoot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TDLNoot is a Web3 domain registrar that facilitates the registration of top-level domains (TLDs) on the Handshake blockchain. We act as an intermediary between users and the Handshake network, handling blockchain transactions on users' behalf.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account password
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
4. TLD Registration and Ownership
When you register a TLD through TDLNoot:
- We open a Handshake blockchain auction on your behalf within 24 hours of payment
- The auction process takes approximately 30 days to complete
- Upon successful auction completion, TLD ownership is recorded on the Handshake blockchain
- TLD ownership is permanent and not subject to renewal fees
- We reserve the right to refuse registration of TLDs that violate trademark law or these terms
5. Payments and Refunds
All payments are processed through Stripe. By making a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Refunds are available in the following circumstances:
- Auction failure — Full refund if we are unable to win the Handshake auction
- Technical error — Full refund if registration fails due to a technical error on our part
- Change of mind — No refund once the blockchain auction has been opened, as blockchain transactions are irreversible
6. Royalty Program
TLD owners may opt into the royalty program. Under this program:
- TLD owners receive 50% of revenue from second-level domain registrations under their TLD
- TDLNoot retains 50% as a platform fee
- Minimum payout threshold is $25 USD
- Payouts are processed within 5 business days of request
- TDLNoot reserves the right to modify royalty rates with 30 days notice
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to register TLDs that:
- Infringe on existing trademarks or intellectual property
- Are intended for use in illegal activities
- Are being registered solely for the purpose of cybersquatting
- Contain hate speech or are intended to harass individuals
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TDLNOOT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT HANDSHAKE DOMAINS WILL BE RESOLVABLE IN ALL BROWSERS OR THAT THE HANDSHAKE NETWORK WILL REMAIN OPERATIONAL.
We do not guarantee that registered TLDs will retain monetary value or that the royalty program will generate any specific level of income.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TDLNOOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Process and fulfill your domain registration orders
- Send order confirmations and status updates
- Provide customer support
- Process royalty payouts
- Improve the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- The Handshake blockchain — wallet addresses and domain registrations are public by nature of blockchain technology
- Law enforcement — when required by law
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged into your account. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and business purposes. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting support.
